Rapidly growing pharmaceutical company in P.B.C. is seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician with at least three years experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and interior plant modifications including drywall, carpentry and painting. Qualified candidates should also have knowledge of compressed air systems, boilers and chillers.
Summary: The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting the Facility Engineer with the preventative maintenance program on all equipment and performing minor building maintenance as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Maintain daily operating records for the air compressor, vacuum system, chillers, steam boiler, water systems and pure steam generator. • Troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative maintenance on all equipment. • Perform necessary facility repairs including plumbing, electrical, painting, wall repairs, light carpentry and minor roof repairs. • Capable of refrigerant recovery and charging of A/C systems. • Internal Audits as assigned by QA
Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Experience working with electricity, plumbing, and fire protection and security systems. • Ability to lift 50 pounds, familiar with safety procedures, esp. lockout tagout. • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings. • Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision. • HVAC certification and EPA license required. • ISO 13485:2003 Internal Auditor (training to be performed within 3 months of hiredate)
Education and Experience: • High School diploma or equivalent. • 1-2 years technical training and maintenance experience including A/C repair.
Physical Demands: • Frequent sitting and walking • Periodic lifting, bending, pulling or pushing • Occasional climbing (ladder) • Lifting moderate to heavy loads.
Working Conditions: • Moderate risk working with electrical, mechanical and pneumatic components. • Works at times on the roof repairing A/C units and performing roof repairs. • Climb ladders to service production area lights, ceiling tiles and A/C units.
